Abstract
Towards Life-long Learning – Vocational Business Education for Adults in Finland
In this article the Finnish adult education system as well as business education for adults are presented. Today, the adult education system in Finland is based on over 300 competence based qualifications which are gained by skills tests. The newest pedagogical solutions (e.g. e-Learning and blended learning) as well as the flexible financing system provide adults and their employers with real possibilities to make progress towards life-long learning. In the article three cases will be presented in order to help the reader to understand Finnish business education for adults in practice.
